Jordan Heading showed up in Converge’s game against Terrafirma in the PBA Philippine Cup on Wednesday amid his impending trade to TNT in exchange for the rights to Mikey Williams.

Heading was spotted arriving at Philsports Arena in Pasig City moments before tipoff, chatting with Rain or Shine’s Caelan Tiongson and later sitting on the baseline seats near the FiberXers bench.

His appearance came despite reports that TNT acquired Heading for Williams, who has been at odds with Tropang 5G management over contract talks since 2023.

TNT coach Chot Reyes admitted recently that the team had resumed talks with Williams.

Heading, meanwhile, has not played this conference due to a recurring back injury that has bothered him since Converge lost to Rain or Shine in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup quarterfinals.

If the trade gets approved by the league, the Tropang 5G will get a talented guard in Heading that will finally fill the major gap they had with both Jayson Castro and Rey Nambatac out due to injuries.

Castro is out for the season due to a knee injury while Nambatac is out for possibly until the start of the playoffs after suffering a groin injury.

Converge beat Terrafirma 117-103.
