Eala climbed two spots in the rankings nearly two weeks after her campaign at the Madrid Open.
The 19-year-old Eala handily beat Bulgaria’s Victoriya Tomova to open her bid in Madrid but lost to five-time Grand Slam champion Isa Swiatek of Poland, 6-4, 4-6, 2-6 in the second round in their highly anticipated rematch.
Eala is among the rising stars in women’s tennis following her breakthrough at the Miami Open in March where she made history by taking down several major champions including Swiatek in the quarterfinal round.

Eala looks to keep her progress going in the upcoming Italian Open against world No. 27 Marta Kostyuk of Ukraine in the Round of 128.
It has been a hectic but fruitful year for Eala, who will then compete in the main draw of the French Open set later this month.
